Language Stay
Why a language stay in Ghana? Whether for studies or in professional life, the importance of languages in general, and English in particular, is no longer in doubt. English is the predominant language in the business world and in higher education. For a student, not mastering this language is a handicap for pursuing higher education. On the contrary, mastering it is a definite advantage.
Study in a land full of history Located in the western part of Africa, Ghana is a great land of African history. Thanks to your language stay, you will discover Accra, the political capital of the country. You will walk in the footsteps of the Osagyefo – that is to say the guide –, first president of the country and one of the founding fathers of the African Union and Pan-Africanism: President Kwame NKRUMAH.
Every year, young students from around the world enroll in our Global Scholars program to engage in social entrepreneurship, design thinking, and leadership training, preparing them to create change in Africa and around the world. Each summer, on the Johannesburg campus, hundreds of dynamic young people aged 13 to 19 come together to develop as ethical leaders, bring value to a social enterprise, meet new people, and build lasting friendships. Students gain tangible skills by working with South African entrepreneurs, developing leadership skills with peers from around the world, and exploring the best that Johannesburg has to offer.
Visit Rwanda now
Rwanda is located just south of the equator, in the heart of Africa. In the space of a week, it is possible to discover an extraordinary diversity of fauna and landscapes thanks to the relatively small size of the country and its biodiversity.
In Rwanda, for ten years, French has been only the second international language, used after English. Teachers had to switch from one language to the other overnight. Big dream's partnership with ALU (African Leadership University) allows us to organize a language stay on the Rwanda campus in order to discover the particularity of the ALU university curriculum, but also to take our students to develop the learning of the English language in the land of a thousand hills.
